One-Stop Shop for Intelligent Compaction

Intelligent Compaction (IC) is an equipment-based technology for better quality control that results in longer pavement lives. IC machines are vibratory rollers with accelerometers mounted on the axle of drums, global positioning system, infra-red temperature sensors (for asphalt), and on-board computers that can display color-coded maps in real-time to track roller passes, asphalt surface temperatures, and stiffness of compacted materials.

Veda 2.0 is Released

Data management is critical when implementing intelligent compaction (IC). The IC data is new to most people and tends to be large in size and complex in nature. The free  Veda IC data management tool is the solution: Veda can manage data collected from various IC systems. Take a quick look at how Veda can help improve pavement performance by leveraging IC technologies!

FHWA EDC 2 Endorse IC

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has rolled out a second wave of innovations for its Every Day Counts (EDC) initiative for 2013 and 2014, an effort focused on shortening the time needed to complete highway projects through the use of new technologies and innovative processes. Intelligent Compaction (IC) is among the 13 innovations to state, local, and regional transportation agencies, as well as to the design and construction industries.
